For many months since All My Children started casting babies to play Spike, many children were used. None of their names were released but there had been at least 4 babies or 2 set's of twins used. It seems that some of the unknown children are still being used on days that the farrar girls aren't able to make it.





Ava and Julia Farrar first started playing Spike back on August 02 2006. They shared the role with other unknown babies all August and September but starting on October 05 2006 they were the sole babies to play Spike. The girls were let go in June 07, at first it was believed to be because the girls were looking more like girls and it wasn't fooling the fans anymore but at the 2007 fan events it was said the girls were too hard to work with backstage and it took too long to shoot short clips.



Alexander, Benjamin and Caleb Eckstein took over the role of Spike shortly after the Farrar girls were let go, They are new to showbiz and it's their very first show but the boys have stolen the hearts of all. They love to be on stage and backstage with everyone. Alex & Caleb are identical and Ben is fraternal but you would never tell cause the boys look all identical. The Eckstein Family shot a series of Diaper Genie commercials in 2008 as well Alexander made his debut on the big screen in the movie Ghost Town.
