Merit Leighton (older sister of Marlowe Peyton) has appeared in numerous films and commercials! You've probably seen her in commercials for companies such as K-Mart, Microsoft and Target! Recently, Merit has been working on her film Grooming Giselle!

Q&A is not to be duplicated elsewhere and claimed as their own. STAR-KIDZ EXCLUSIVES

1. What was the best part of filming your National Realtors commercial?

LOTS OF FUN! I got to have my second fake brother, and my father was Timothy Hornor -the guy who never blinks from iCarly. I also got my first high heel shoes EVER, it felt really wobbly, but really cool..I also felt pretty tall!

2. Do you have a favorite memory from filming Grooming Giselle?

Grooming Giselle was my first feature film it was really special. Clark Koelsch was the lead in the film he was very nice and I am glad that I got a chance to work with him.

3. What was it like working with Kathy Griffin?

Ms. Griffin was very nice to me, I had a lot of fun screaming next to her. :)

4. Do you have a favorite print job that you've done?

Barbie was a great job, I got to play with a kings staff and a pink feather boa while dancing around.

5. What has been your favorite commercial to film?

That's a tough one, Fuze was really fun because we got to stay in a hotel right on the water and play on the beach for two days, really great. Oh and my sister Marlowe got to go too, that was really really fun.

6. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?

The crew and cast of Monster Slayer was amazing. Timm Sharp was so nice and he helped me understand a lot about acting. That film was great because Caskey the director and everyone involved taught me so much.

7. What is one of the funniest things to happen on the set of a project?

Well on one commercial for Kmart last Fathers Day, I filmed the commercial with my fake family, no one had any lines, but when I finally saw the commercial it was in Espanol..lol..that was cool.

8. Is there someone in particular you like the chance to work with one day?

Ruff Ruffman from Fetch! That show is the reason why I wanted to be on TV!

9. How did you get into the business?

One day I was watching my favorite show Fetch, and I decided I wanted to be on TV like the kids on the show. So I asked my mom if I could be on TV. She said "No, Dad and I are to busy working.", my dad and mom said "If you really want it, believe and make it happen." I said "But I don't know how to make it happen." I got sad, but I knew with all of my heart it would happen. One week later it did. A manger called my mom, she's a photographer, and asked if they could get in contact with one of the kids she had photographed on her photography website, they were looking for ME. My mom asked if I had "used a phone book and made calls" to make it happen, but I just believed. After that I got an agent and I booked my second audition for LeapFrog..it's been my dream come true."

10. What has been your overall favorite project to work on?

Playing Bea in Monster Slayer, was truly fantastic. I got to have amazingly beautiful computer generated wings and I fought super cool monsters. Bea was an amazing part for a girl, and I was lucky enough to be the one chosen! You can watch it on-line at http://characterproject.usanetwork.com/#!/monster-slayer . Timm Sharp and Alicia Goranson are so talented and the stop action animation is truly beautiful. Another dream came true when I got to work on green screen for this movie. A truly fantastic, amazing time. I have never been happier in my life than working on Monster Slayer.

We'd like to thank Merit and her family for participating in this year's Star-Kidz Q&A event!
