Bianca & Chiara D'Ambrosio played the role of Summer Newman on Y&R. Aside from The Young & The Restless the girls have also filmed music videos, other television shows and print work.



1. How did the girls get into the business?
Living in Los Angeles people would stop me all the time and ask me if my twins were in the "business". Once I figured out what that meant, I said why not? They got their first agent when they were 2, which is late for twins. We were very lucky as we only auditioned a few times before we booked The Young & The Restless.

2. What has been the girls favorite project to do?
Chiara: I liked the Crystal Bowersox video because I was able to act sad when I wasn't
Bianca: I liked The Closer first since I was able to play in a playground and second, the print job for Subaru where I was at the beach !!!

3. Did the girls get to spend time with any of the other kids backstage on Y&R?
The kids ( when we were there) all have their own dressing rooms but when we did the Halloween taping they were able to play with the twins that played Reed. We brought pumpkins for everyone so they could play with them while waiting to go on set..

4. How did the girls like filming their Bon Jovi music video?
Chiara: We got to pretend it was our birthday party !!! The first day of filming we got to ride in a limo.
Bianca: I loved hanging out with Wes Bentley and Scottie Thompson, our pretend parents.
The girls loved both days of shooting. They could not wait to wake up and go to set the second day. The first day was at a private airport and the first thing the girls said to me was " Are we going on a trip ?!!!" The second day we filmed at a amazing home in Beverly Hills. The yard was decorated as a birthday party for the twins. When we got there Chiara said to me" The director bought us presents !!" Luckily, they didn't open any.

5. Are there any funny stories from the girls time on Y&R?
During the Halloween taping, Michelle Stafford kept giving Bianca chocolate candy.( Bianca kept asking for more) When they were done taping, Bianca had chocolate all over her hands and face.
The first time Bianca was on set she saw the pictures of themselves in frames and said " Hey, that's me!!!" Everyone on set laughed.

6. What was the Y&R audition for Summer like?
The audition was with Michelle Stafford , Josh Morrow, the casting director and director. The girls played with everyone at the audition. Chiara took Michelle's hand and asked her to dance with her. The girls were 3 yrs old so they didn't have lines to learn for audition. Everyone was wonderful. When we left they called me with in a half and hour and said welcome to the Y&R family. We were very excited. Taping started the next day !!!!

7. Is there anyone from Y&R you wish the girls had gotten to work with but didn't?
They would have loved to work with their Y&R grandfather, Eric Braeden, who plays Victor Newman but it didn't work out. But the people they did work with were great. The girl's dressing room was across from hair and make-up, so Vail Bloom ( old Heather) and Kate Linder (Esther) stopped by to say hi.

8. Do the girls prefer acting or print work more?
They love them both . Bianca said she loves acting more because she" gets to pretend " and Chiara loves to see herself on the screen, as well.

9. What was the girls first day on the Y&R set like?
The girls had a lot of energy and were all over the dressing room. The casting director and director came in to say hi. Michelle Stafford came up and spent time with the girls reading books together. But when it was time to go down to set Josh Morrow came by and Chiara ran to him and he held her hand and walked her down to set. So Chiara was the first to be on set. ( We auditioned only the day before.) When on set she was fine. They told her to just sit there and that was what she did. In the second scene they gave her a toy to play with which kept her focused. When they finished, everyone clapped for her and she was very proud. The first day on set they wore the clothes they auditioned in and I still have that outfit and shoes for them in storage.

10. Have the girls ever watched themselves on TV?
Whenever they can and with TiVo, more often than not. About a month ago, Access Hollywood was featuring the Crystal Bowersox video.The girls were screaming with excitement when they saw themselves.
